Natalya Petrovna Grot (nee Semenova) (1824-1899), writer, translator, author of articles on the topics of pedagogy published in the journal of the Ministry of Education, “Journal for Education” and other spouse of the famous philologist Ya. K. Grot, The sister of the famous geographer P.P. Semenov-Tyan-Shansky-Natalya Petrovna spoke about them in her Family Chronicle. The memoirist was among the best graduates of the Catherine Institute of noble girls: a training program, exams, interesting acquaintances, including with the imperial family, she describes in detail in the chronicle.
