Alexander Nikolaevich Formomozov (1899-1973), a wonderful naturalist, an ecologist, nature guard, a wide reader is most known as the author and at the same time an illustrator of his scientific and popular books: "Sittle of a Runaire", "six days in the forests"," among nature ". This album, prepared after the album in 2018 from Murman to Amur. Travels of an animalist artist "continues to get acquainted with the artistic heritage of Alexander Nikolayevich Formozov, previously little-known. In it, the author illustrated stories about work as a graduate of the gymnasium in the Northern Dvina in 1917, on traveling in the Student years to the Caucasus (1923-1925), on research in Kazakhstan in the 1930-1940s, on acquaintance with the nature of Turkmenistan during the evacuation in 1942. Drawings accompany quotes from the diaries, letters and works of Formozov. In total, the album has about 500 drawings, the vast majority of them are published for the first time.
