About the book
For some time now, you can increasingly meet people with a pencil and paper on the street, located among the city bustle and throwing the surrounding landscape in a certain angle. Sketches of any objects - from a magnificent architectural ensemble to small details - will become an expression of personal perception, captured on paper without special costs.

Klaus Mayer-Pauken in his book will tell you what is needed for this, what you should know and where it is better to start. Many examples, step -by -step instructions for working out sketches arouse interest in independent urban sketches.

In an affordable form, Mayer-Pauken demonstrates how to create urban sketches on the spot with the help of a small number of artistic tools. You will learn to learn useful techniques that help display the prospect, introduce the figures of people into the plot, draw a watercolor, and much more. At the same time, the expressiveness and individuality of sketching remain the main ones.

From the author
I hope my sketches and sketches in Paris, Venice and other places will cause you to travel around the cities and in artistic form to convey their charm. Even the most modest nondescript industrial buildings on the outskirts of a small town may seem as amazing as the luxurious monumental structures of a large historical center. And the dusty dump of scrap metal is sometimes more interesting as a plot of a picturesque city square with perfect proportions. City sketching involves the artistic embodiment of our impressions of the places where we are or live in the form of sketches and sketches. So, get together on the road and open your city, armed with a pencil and paper!
