The great Italian painter Karavaggio had influenced not one generation of masters of European painting. He created on the canvases a unique world in which his heroes are emotionally charged. The world was not always “located” to him, a man with a difficult character, therefore he painted heroes, often caught at the difficult moments of life. Powerful contrasts of light and shadows gave the artist picturesque opportunities for creating complex images.
