From the authors
Why did we decide to publish the prescription?
Firstly, of course, at the request of people who need such a manual.
Secondly, this is an attempt to bring something to our own, which we love, in which we put the soul, but in which, unfortunately, there are gaps today.
For about three years we taught at the Kyiv Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design named after Mikhail Boychuk at the Department of Graphic Design. We have been engaged in private designers and artists in private for more than six years and understand how our institute education, and especially the “font” discipline, lags behind the European level. Alas, this problem is known to everyone who is seriously engaged in font and calligraphy.
And thirdly, we are practicing graphic designers, we are engaged in calligraphy and design. We work with letters constantly, and therefore we want to share our experience with others.

About the author
Sisters Victoria and Vitalina Lopukhina - Ukrainian artists and calligraphers. Graduated from the faculty of graphic design of the Kyiv Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design named after Mikhail Boychuk in Kyiv, later the Lviv Press Academy. They teach calligraphy at the Kyiv Academy M. Boychuk at the department of graphic design. Currently engaged in flying and calligraphy, illustration, creation of logos and proprietary styles. They value the beauty and harmony of the Cyrillic alphabet, study its history and variations in Old Slavonic sources. Live and work in Kyiv
