Having proposed to devote the album in the series "Master of Fine Arts of the CIS countries" Andrei Yakovlev, the leadership of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists made an exact choice.
First of all, because Andrei Alekseevich was a master, a painter who combined the skill of the graphic in his work, a drawingman who left many accurate blind moments, and a flair of a publicist who sensually felt time, an era, who had mocked himself with those important events, which the country has lived the main thing, the talent of a great artist, capable of turning the world around himself into an event of art - intonation, an accurate composition, a picturesque language.
Yakovlev’s works are recognizable. And not only with the theme and seriality, but, first of all, the special Yakovlevsky figurative system - the severity of life on the Chukotka and the everyday life of BAM BAM Painter always found an accurate artistic equivalent.
