The book discusses the main trends in the socio-economic development of the modern Chinese People"s Republic. It is shown that in the foreseeable future, China will be in front of the choice: internal collapse due to unsolvable problems and contradictions of socio-economic development or external expansion in order to obtain new territories and resources.
