Yevgeny Ivanovich Zamyatin (1884-1937) is one of the most unique Russian and Soviet writers, publicists, screenwriters, literary critics, and engineers. In the USSR, his dystopian novel 'We' was only published in 1988, almost seven decades after it was written. Before that, it had a victorious march through foreign countries and was published in French, English, and many other languages. Now, in our country, Zamyatin is rightfully considered a classic of domestic literature.
