The fairy tale story “Dr. Aibolit” was written by Korney Chukovsky based on the book “Travel of Dr. Dutlittla” by the English writer Gue Lofing. Our book is a good story about the travels of Dr. Aibolit and his friends: ducks of Kiki, Avva dogs, a small pig-rim pigs, a parrot of pots and owls of boombs. The fairy tale includes two parts: in the first heroes to visit the distant and hot African country of monkeys, meet with a terrible and dangerous Barmaley and his servants, and in the second part Dr. Aibolit with his faithful friends will help the boy Pente to find his father. Illustrations for the fairy tale painted by the People"s Artist of Russia Viktor Chizhikov, in 1980 were awarded the honorary diploma of H.K. Andersen.
