The book is devoted to the analysis of the poetics of Dostoevsky in the light of the dismissal of the writer"s worldview of the writer between the European and Russian (Byzantine) methods of cultural thinking. Analyzing the three works of the Great Writer: "Notes from the Dead House", "Notes from the Underground" and "Crime and Punishment", the author shows how Dostoevsky overcomes this torn, based on its artistic method on the highest form of irony - paradox. At the same time, in a wider plan, the author draws attention to how Dostoevsky artistically comprehends the conflict between the rational ("scientific", philosophical) and the artistic ("literary") methods of thinking and as it gives unconditional preference to the last one in the context of the Russian cultural department
