"Igor Seversyanin who fell asleep in the spring, completed in 1931, but never printed during his lifetime, is, in fact, a document, an autobiography written in wide strokes. But at the same time, this is the prose of the outstanding poet, one of the brightest representatives of the Silver Age, the founder of egofuturism. Everything in this prose is mixed and interconnected: descriptions of being in Estonian emigration, trips in Europe, meetings with Bunin and Mayakovsky are adjacent to literary criticism, condemned in the old days, and are strung on a thread of mental wandering on an irrevocable past. And in this past - Fedor Sologub, Bryusov, Blok, Gumilev, George Ivanov, Hippius. Merezhkovsky, Fofanov and many more, many, many ... And in this past there was a wreath of the “king of poets", which the Severyanin was crowned with an enthusiastic public. The poet would know then what turns of fate await him ... Igor Severyanin died, half -forgotten, in December 1941 in Tallinn occupied by the Nazis
