Mikhail Alexandrovich Sholokhov (1905-1984) is one of the most significant writers of Russian Soviet literature, the laureate of the 1965 Nobel Prize for his novel "Quiet Flows the Don," which brought the author worldwide fame. This book includes stories from his early collections - "Tales of the Don," "Azure Steppe," - as well as beloved stories by many generations of readers, such as "The Child of the Don" and "The Fate of a Man."
