The heroes of this story - the dog Hugo and the hare of Hannes - live in a bumblebee town near the Shmeelina River. Every day Hugo and Hannes are seen at school, which is interesting to one, it is interesting to the other, but they don’t have the idea to spread a word between themselves, because their families cannot be tolerated to each other"s spirit. No one already remembers where this mutual hostility came from, so it happened. But on one beautiful Sunday, the bumblebee town goes to the run competitions, and the hare and the dog are in a hurry to get to him in all eight paws. "Dog and Hare" is a book of one of the most titled and famous artists and writers of the 21st century Rotraut Suzanne Berner, multiple laureate of the German children"s literary prize for illustration, laureate of the most prestigious prize named after Hans Christian Andersen.
