Document status. Final paper or alienated certificate?

The theme of the collection only in part intersects with traditional objects of documents and archival. Introducing the neologism "Document", by analogy with the term novel Jacobson "literaryity", the authors are famous sociologists, anthropologists, historians, political scientists, culturalists, philosophers, philologists - are asked about the place of the document in modern culture, about the social conventions behind the concept " Document ", and the meanings invested in this concept. Methods of formulation of such issues combine theoretical reflection and analysis of the relevant, primarily Russian, practitioners. The book discusses the most different situations in which the status of the document is recognized as high or, on the contrary, is questioned - it is a question of political power and bureaucratic institutions, memory of the past and historical science, visual media and literary texts
