We have a scientific study based on the careful reading of the fathers of the church. The author of the book is considering one of the most important periods in the history of the Church (IV and V centuries. N. E) and is trying to reconstruct the primary questions and tasks that stood before the participants of the Nicene, Ephesian and Chalkidon Cathedrals. In the work, the essence of Christological dispute is particularly understood and the role of Cyril Alexandria and John Cassian is reviewed as representatives of the common theological consensus in the East and in the West
