The monograph analyzes the influence of scientific research and legal-doctrinal assessments on the practice of law enforcement by the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. Special attention is paid to the scientific works of judges of the highest judicial instance, the analysis of decisions of the Supreme Court, resolutions of the Plenum and Presidium of the Supreme Court, which address controversial issues of legal science and judicial practice. The problems of applying both substantive and procedural law are revealed. Intersectoral features of judicial activities, issues of applying provisions of international public and private law are analyzed.
