The “monsters "continue" incomplete works of Dmitry Alexandrovich Prigov (1940-2007) This volume includes Prigov’s works representing his original "theological project". Prigova theology, equally parody-comic and serious, involves the process of gaining universal balance by abolishing differences between transcendental and everyday, divine and devilish, human and animal. The central category in this project was the category of monstrous, which arises as a result of combining metaphysically opposite states. Embodied in the motive of the monster, this topic combines various directions of the Prigov art and philosophical experiments: from poetic research in the field of "new anthropology" to "apophatic cataphys" (the Prigovsky version of negative theology), from thoughts about the metaphysics of creativity to describing the monsters of history and power ideology, From "cockroaches", a quasi -eupic description of the home war with cockroaches, to the largest and most complex prosaic work of Prigov - the novel "Renat and the Dragon". Like other volumes of the meeting, the “monsters" include not only the well -known to the reader, but previously published works of Prigov, preserved in the home archive. Some works are reproduced with the preservation of author"s spelling and punctuation. In a number of texts, non -normative vocabulary is used
