The book tells about the work and fate of the designer schedule Dmitry Anatolyevich Bulanov. He is worldwide famous for a series of posters for the Leningrad Zoosada, but until recently, neither the date of his life, nor even the full name. Bulanov is one of the victims of the Stalinist terror, and for the book about it, archival surveys, materials of collections, evidence of the only healthy employee now, were needed. Bulanov manifested itself primarily in the children"s book and poster. Its numerous printed sheets document all parties to Soviet life: policies, culture, economy, life. In the poster design, Bulanov was one of the leading figures of the pre-war Leningrad. The book is told about the history of the noble family of Bulanov and the tragic finale of his life: the designer was arrested at the very beginning of the Great Patriotic War and died in prison. The book is equipped with numerous copyright notes and an annotated name pointer. In addition to concomitant documents, over 100 designer printed works are presented. Most of these works are reproduced for the first time
