The collection of articles of modern Russian and foreign researchers is devoted to ideas about divine power, church hierarchy and spiritual authority in the Latin early Christian tradition. The circle of problems under study includes such issues that are significant for understanding the general vector of Western Christianity, as the topic of power in the Latin Trinitarian theology, the evolution of the hierarchical system in the West in the late andant period (in particular, the problems of the Roman primacy), and the development of institutional forms of female ministry. The collection also includes articles on the activities of individual outstanding church hierarchs of the Latin West - the Pope Liberius and St. Ambrose Mediolansky.
