In the monograph sets out general and private issues of embryology, anatomy, physiology and pathology of the visual path. Generalizes the experience of the clinic, diagnosis and treatment of various diseases of the visual path. New hematophtalmic barrier data based on long experimental, clinical and functional studies of the authors of the monograph are presented. This made it possible for the first time to create a structural and functional histohematic concept of a hematophalmic barrier. The pathogenetic mechanisms of the features of visual disorders in intracranial localization tumors and multiple sclerosis are reflected. The features of the vegetative innervation of the eye and its dressing apparatus are covered in detail, as well as pupil reflexes in the norm and with pathology. Overall violations are defined and the causes of these disorders are indicated.
