The reference book presents modern information on epidemiology, etiologies and the characteristics of the clinical manifestations of basic infectious diseases in children of different ages. New data on the pathogenesis of diseases are given. Modern approaches to laboratory diagnostics are described, taking into account the period of development of the infectious process. Information on the features of the prevention and treatment of diseases in children, measures held in the hearth has been set out. Of particular importance are the presented technologies for the prognosis of the course and outcome of the disease, as well as applications that contain information on vaccine prevention necessary for the practical work of the doctor.
In the preparation of the reference book, employees of the Federal State Budgetary Institution of the Research Institute of Children"s Infections of the FMBA of Russia and employees of the Department of Infectious Diseases in the children of the faculty of advanced training and professional retraining of St. Petersburg State Pedagogical SPBGPMU took part.
