The book covers the formation of the diplomatic service of ancient Russ in the IX - the first half of the X century. The author considers the diplomacy of Ancient Russia as part of the general development of statehood in the countries of Europe and Front Asia in the 1st millennium BC. e., in comparison and interweaving with the diplomacy of Byzantium, Bulgaria, the Arab caliphate and other states of that time.
