This book is about modern society, which is now called digital. It focuses on the modern individual who actively consumes information from the World Wide Web. The digital person (homo digital sapiens) is of great interest as a subject of study in the field of social sciences, as they are saturated with easily readable information 'about themselves', influenced by a vast array of media and Internet resources transmitting various meanings. The digitization of various spheres of human life not only creates a new mentality and updates mental landscapes, but also changes the individual themselves. The authors of the book aimed to show how through the consumption of meta-meanings (good, evil, love, hate, wealth, poverty, etc.), expressing interest in various topics (attitudes towards history, the past, present, current authorities, etc.), the self-identification of the individual unfolds in physical and virtual spaces. The authors attempted to study the social behavior of global Internet users from different angles, to determine the life priorities and worldviews of contemporaries, and supplemented traditional methods of studying society with media-geographical analysis using internet statistics.
