Difference schemes in gas dynamics problems on unstructured grids

A review is given and difference schemes and numerical methods intended to solve non-stationary gas dynamics problems in areas of complex geometric configuration on unstructured grids. The issues related to the construction of difference schemes (TVD, ENO and WENO schemes) are presented, and the problem of the relationship between the accuracy of calculations and the procedure for approximation of difference schemes is discussed. Algorithmic methods of increasing the accuracy of calculations, advantages and disadvantages of explicit and implicit difference schemes, as well as the features of their practical application are considered. The solution of a number of gas dynamics problems on unstructured grids is given. For research workers engaged in gas dynamics, as well as teachers, graduate students and students of the relevant specialties of higher educational institutions
