The dictionary was prepared by the Institute for Linguistic Studies.
The dictionary presents a systematic description of the vocabulary of the Russian language in the era of the formation of a new literary language on a national basis. The vocabulary articles described the composition of the words, the nature of its application is described, the grammatical and stylistic characteristics are given, form options, emphasis, etymology are indicated.
