In this edition of the Nicolai Belyaev Nikolay Belyaev (Restaurant Nikon Nikona), which he led from 1907 to 1910, the full text is published for the first time, there are significant reductions in all well-known publications.
The diary shows how the spiritual increase in the young obedient is gradually happening, a truly devoted student of the elder of Warsonofy, and helps to understand how great the importance of the spiritual senile leadership in the salvation of man.
In the process of preparing the manuscript, all previously known typewritten and handwritten variants of the diary were investigated, as well as one of the very first lists - a handwritten notebook, which was in private hands, conducted a large textual work - all the variants of the text were held together and the most accurate of them. Minor editorial clarifications are shown in square brackets.
We draw the attention of readers to the fact that the diary is accompanied by comments that are compiled from Ivan Belyaev"s memories, brother about. Nicon, they are placed at the end of the book.
In substitution notes, brief biographical information about persons mentioned in the diary are given in more detail the historical events and facts, in some cases there is an explanation of some controversial issues of church and public life.
We hope that the present publication will be interested in a wide range of readers and will help them find answers to many of the spiritual life issues arising in our difficult time
