For the first time, diaries and correspondence of the last years of the life of the Grand Duke Mikhail Alexandrovich (1878-1918), the younger brother Nicholas II, in favor of which on March 2, 1917, the emperor renounced the throne. Refusing to accept the autocratic authority to the decision of the Constituent Assembly, Mikhail Alexandrovich was soon arrested, Sylaned to Perm and in June 1918 he was shot by the Bolsheviks.
