The small Indian city of Dharamsal since 1960 is a residence of the Dalai Lama and its governments in exile. Dharamsal became a kind of capital of the Tibetan diaspora, scattered around the world, and the center of attraction for the West people seeking to understand the essence of Tibetan Buddhism.
The French researcher Bertrand dressed, who has repeatedly visited Dharamsalu, managed to convey the atmosphere of this extraordinary city. He created the portrait gallery of his inhabitants - from the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhists and his family to ordinary citizens: clergymen and laity, intellectuals and simple workers, Tibetans and Hindus. A surprisingly colorful world appears in front of readers, inviting to understand the life and philosophy of Tibetans.
