Near the town of Staufford is a place called Devil's Creek. Once there stood a church of a sinister cult, in which the former priest Jacob Masters preached the gospel of the nameless god. In 1983, the church was burned to the ground, and almost all the sect members committed suicide. Only six children of Jacob survived, who were nicknamed the "Staufford Six". Over time, their trials were forgotten, and the history of the mysterious sect turned into a scary bedtime story. In our days, Jack Tremly, one of the "Six", who became a successful artist, returns to Staufford to deal with the inheritance of his deceased grandmother Imogen. Upon arrival, he encounters the secrets of his family and what seemed to be a long-buried past. But he does not yet know that the nameless god of Jacob is alive, that in the cave under Devil's Creek lies a real and very ancient horror, which will soon break free, engulfing everything around.
