The author of the monograph explores theoretical and practical issues of regional economic policy in developed countries of the world - the EU, the USA, Canada and a number of others. The process of evolution of this phenomenon is shown - from disparate actions to equalize the regional development of these countries before the formation of a developed regional policy system in the post -war decades. The analysis was carried out at three levels - the world (this applies primarily to the EU and its structures), national -state and regional (states, provinces, land, municipal institutions) The characteristic features and features of the policy of Western European countries, the USA and Canada, caused by the specifics of their development and the type of economic integration are affected. In a comparative aspect, special attention is paid to the regional contradictions of Russia, China and some other countries.
The results of the study can be used in the educational process at the faculties of international economic relations, specialists involved in the modern problems of the world economy and the economy of foreign countries, institutions participating in the development of recommendations for the elimination of regional imbalances in the deployment of production factors (productive forces) in the Russian Federation
