Once, the peace of the small town of Hartola staggered: in the river they found the body of a girl with a strange mark.

30 years later, Saana was fired from the work of a journalist-investigator, so she decides to spend the summer with her aunt in the small town of Hartola. When Saana begins to investigate the case of a girl drowning 30 years ago, she still does not know which network has stirred up.

Meanwhile, the body of an extremely influential person with fiery marks was found in Helsinki in the sea fortress of Suomenlinn, and the investigator Jan Lino and his team have a new business in his hands. Jan fears that the murder at the royal gate is only the beginning. And so it turns out: an unknown criminal declares Hartola a kingdom and begins to kill her "kings", leaving the scorched marks on the skin of the victims.
Saana and Yang continue investigations until their paths intersect, and things do not merge into one riddle.
From the author
This book began when I heard one exciting story and decided to go to Hartola to properly study it. The royal community of Hartola and her viscous atmosphere immediately launched my imagination. Part of the places described in the book are real, the rest are fiction. All events and people were invented by me, and any coincidences are random.
