For a whole year, the young violinist Alya Bazhnina has been working in a prestigious Moscow orchestra. The girl’s life is not simple, but Alya tries not to lose heart. However, everything changes when the orchestra leaves for tour. There is a tragedy: the conductor Pavel Kretov was killed. Suspicion falls on the flutist Valery Rybakov, who had a conflict with him the day before. All evidence is against Valera. He is arrested and taken to Moscow, to a pre -trial detention center.
