“Travel to the center of the Earth” is one of the first science fiction novels by Jules Verne, telling about the impudent and dangerous journey into the bowels of the Earth through the vent of the volcano.
The eccentric German professor of mineralogy Otto Lidenbrok discovers runic letters in the old book and, with the help of the Axel nephew, tries to unravel the secret that was hidden behind them. To the horror of a young man, the text says the possibility of getting to the center of the Earth through the crater of the volcano in Iceland. The professor covered by the thirst for new discoveries, without wasting time, sets off, taking with him a desperately resisting nephew. Under the ground of heroes an incredible prehistoric world awaits - hot rivers flow here and the ocean is raging, a giant mushroom forest is growing and mastodons graze. The brave participants of the expedition will have to survive a terrible underground storm - but only in order to end up in the vent of an unknown acting volcano ...
