The third book of Pentagogy about the skillful St. John"s wort Nathaniel Bampo. He, his faithful friend, Chingachguk and their new friend Jasper accompany the beauty Mabel to the shores of Ontario, to the fortress where her father serves. This path is difficult: in North America, the war between the British and the French is in full swing. Our heroes defeat the Indians in a skirmish with the Union Frenchmen, but it’s too early to triumph the victory. Even in the fortress is unsafe: traitors lurk not only outside, but also inside. And in these moments of danger, the warlike heart of the trace is subjected to a new test - love.
