The world of Nora collapsed when she found out that her husband Hugh has a lover who was expecting a child from him. Nora left New York in a small resort town and even started working again - leads a column in a local newspaper. But when Hugh, a well -known artist, buys a country house for his new family in the same town, the senses are again overwhelmed by the feelings that, as it seemed to her, she had already coped.
