In the small district center of Ozerki, several cruel serial killings are taking place. As victims, a maniac chooses only girls. Traces of torture and bullying are introduced into a stupor of even the types of operas: the body of each victim of the killer cauterizes with a hot fork, leaving on the skin a kind of "brand of the devil".
Local journalist Lina Zhuravleva, writing on criminal themes, is trying to break through to Major Parfyonova, the senior of the operage. But the police have a persistent hostility to the journalist, she is fundamentally ignored and do not want to listen. The girl has no choice but to expose her back in front of the major.
To his horror, Partenov sees a burn in the form of four strips - exactly the same as the girls killed by the maniac. And Lina tells the major a terrible family secret, as her parents mocked her in childhood and tortured her with a hot fork.
Does this mean that the maniac is known?!
But the story was worse and more mysterious. Lina"s parents under strange circumstances burned alive in their own
