The novel is based on real events. The Soviet intelligence officer Leonid Linitsky twice during the years of his service was in Yugoslavia. The first time - in the interwar period, when, having been introduced on the environment of white emigration, he successfully fought against it, even being arrested by the secret police due to the mistake of his agent, the second - during the Second World War, when he was sent to the headquarters of the Yugoslav resistance. He was repeatedly on the hair from death, but managed to turn the trial of accusation of the anti -yugoslav activities of former colleagues. After the release from prison, a special operation was organized to transfer it to his homeland. At the same time, the NKVD was arrested in Soviet Russia itself, and soon the mother of Linitsky was shot like the Polish spy. Did the scout manage to survive this tragedy?
