A professional journalist, a criminal chronicle, who was fired from the newspaper, Nikita Khmelnov became interested in the dead, whose corpse was found in a roadside cuvette. Risking his life, he begins to investigate this murder. The feasible help in this, as it turned out, was confusing, his old friend, a criminal investigator Sergey Shuvalov, has his own friend.
