The adventures of three Russian and three British in South Africa

In the Publishing House "Nigma" in the popular series "Country of Adventures" comes one of the little -known novels by Jules Verne. When writing, the author repeatedly turned to the works of the Scottish missionary David Livingston, known for his research activities.

A geodetic expedition, consisting of three Russian and three English scientists, goes to South Africa for scientific research. The conflict is brewing between them, and the suddenly received news about the beginning of hostilities between Russia and England further exacerbates the situation, leading to the final split of the expedition into two parts: Russian and English. A lot of difficulties await heroes: a trip to the jungle, hunting for wild animals, crossing the desert, rebellion of the Bushmen, an attack of robbers ... During the siege of the fortress, where the Russians were fixed, they forget about enmity, English scientists come - and the team reunits again before a person of a common danger. But the incredible adventures of the heroes do not end there ...

Oleg Pakhomov - an illustrator of children"s books. Born in Sergiev Posad. He graduated from the RCHTI with a degree in "Design". He began his career as a journal illustrator, inspired by the work of the famous Russian artist Igor Oleinikov.
