Holmes at Orlovsa Hamovat, exclusively cigars, suffers from sclerosis, and also perfectly orient himself in Russia and speaks remarkably in Russian, like his rival, the famous American detectiveman Pinkerton. The stories of the Orlovts were written vividly and entertaining, contain curious signs of “Life and morals” of the first years of the twentieth century and occupy a worthy place among the early examples of Russian Sherlockian
