On Hot August Sunday, the young singer Larisa goes to the theater for the first rehearsal of Verdi"s opera "Rigoletto", where she intended the main role of Gilda. But along the way, she becomes the only witness to a terrible accident - an unknown person knocked a man to death. Shocked Larisa manages to remember a few signs of a car: color, brand and, most importantly, a mascot on the windshield - a crab of a malachite color with red eyes. The driver’s face cannot be considered - at the time of the accident, he fell face to the steering wheel, and the next second he started off and disappeared. Larisa is late at the theater, where he meets the new soloist Gleb Sitnikov and falls in love with him literally at first glance! But in his behavior, she notices some oddities that lead her to terrible suspicions
