"Similarity" is one of the best detectives from the famous Tana French series about the work of the Dublin murder department. Once, in a secluded dilapidated cottage, the body of a young woman who lived in the neighborhood in the old, dilapidated estate “hawthorn” is found. Cassie Maddox, a former detective from the murder department, is called to the place of murder. Cassie is at a loss, she has long left the murders and now works in the home violence department. But, being in place, she understands what was the matter: the murdered - her full double, the same face, figure, hair. How is this possible? And is it possible at all? Thus begins the immersion of the detective in someone else"s life, and soon Cassie understands that she and the victim unite not only external similarities, but also deep affinity.

A very important topic: how to distinguish a person from his copy, if they look the same, feel the same, think the same? .. What gives us the right to assume that a copy is worse than the original, although we internally agree that the original is valuable? The temptation to forget about who you are, and get not only another name in return, but also another life, with all the dangers and capabilities associated with this, is the material with which Tana French works very subtle and completely outstanding.
