“Full Sherlock Holmes with comments and illustrations” is a unique phenomenon in domestic book publishing. He was conceived by Sir William Baring-Gauld as an exhaustive anthology of the works of Conan Doyle about the famous detective, with the participation of hundreds of people united by the idea of the great “saga”, or “canon”. These enthusiasts, among whom were scientists, engineers, photographers, artists, forensic critics and literary critics, contributed to the world of Sherlock Holmes. They filled it with the flesh and blood of the late Victorian era. The works are located according to the internal chronology of the narrative, so they are equipped with the dates of the beginning and end of the action. They are also equipped with detailed comments at the end of each chapter. The text of the meeting contains 18 copyright chapters written by Sir William Baring-Gauld.
