Frida Nilson was born in 1979 in Sweden. Her first book for children was published in 2004. Nielson"s works are characterized by playfulness and sincerity, and her style is often compared with the works of Roald Dahl and Barbra Lindgren.
Nielson won a huge number of literary awards, including the August Prize, the German Youth Literary Prize and the Astrid Lindgren memory Award. In 2017, Frida Nielson was included in the list of the best European authors under 39 years old according to Hay Festival Aarhus
