When the old house is destroyed, builders find in the basement a mummified body of a young girl, who had been there for about sixty years. Judging by the location of the remains, it was stabbed during some kind of occult ritual. Tony McClin, a detective inspector of the Edinburgh police, understands that it is almost impossible to reveal the matter of such a prescription, but still cannot forget about him. Meanwhile, a series of bloody killings takes place in the city.
