For many decades, in the late XIX - early XX centuries, almost all European countries were read out by the adventures of the King of the detectives of Nata Pinkerton, the only one whose glory was competing with Sherlock Holmes. However, if the image of Holmes arose under the pen of Sir Conan Doyle, then Pinkerton, almost as immortal, was created by unknown, moreover, not in the English -speaking world, but in Germany. In Russia, in recent years, many books telling about it have been reprinted, but there have never been attempts to publish the most complete set of issues of these adventures.
