Copenhagen, 1834: Hans Christian Andersen, full of false ideas about greatness and uncertain in his own abilities, works without lingering hands, looking for acquaintances with rich people and celebrities - all for the sake of glory and in order to be noticed. Yes, he really went to a prostitute, but only to make a couple of pencil sketches from nature. The police chief does not believe him. Only thanks to high ties, Andersen manages to avoid prison.
