The life of eleven -year -old Jake turns upside down: his dad was wounded in Afghanistan, and his mother leaves for him to take care of him. This means that Summer Jake will spend on the tiny island of Dewish with his grandmother. The island turns out to be a natural reserve far from civilization: there are no cars, asphalt roads, restaurants and even shops. What is worse - grandmother does not like television and the Internet. On the island of Jake is left without a phone, video games and friends. It seems that it will be the worst summer in his life! .. However, on the island he meets other children - Mason and Lowley. The three of them go in search of adventures and simultaneously share family secrets with each other.
