Hot bloody summer

The hero of the Second World War Marine Corps Earl Svagger returns home to a peaceful life. He is made a tempting proposal: to become one of the leaders of the special detachment, recruited from young policemen and designed to restore order in the hot springs, a small provincial town, where the local mafia rules the ball. Everything seems to be successful, but after the next raid the leadership of the detachment is forced to part with Frenchi Short - the most capable in the detachment, but ambitious and not wanting to obey orders. Wanting to take revenge, Frenchi tells the mafia about the special detachment. As a result, the detachment is defeated, only three remain alive, including Svagger.
