"Beautiful Margaret" is one of the famous historical and adventure novels of the English classic Henry Ryder Haggard. The works written by him at the end of the XIX - beginning of the XX century are relevant to this day.
The book transfers the reader to England at the end of the 15th century. Margaret Castell - the daughter of the rich merchant John Castell, - they consider the most beautiful girl in the whole district. Her heart belongs to Peter Bruma - a poor young man who has lost his father under tragic circumstances. The love of two young people is in danger: the insidious Marquis of Morella abducts the girl and takes her into Granada with cunning. Peter rushes in search of a lover.
